TMSY: The End

The day was June 5th it was the best day of my life, the day that I finally was free from homework, tests, quizzes, projects, and essays. It was the last day of school and exams, it also helped that school would end at 11am. That of course, was the best start to summer to end school early on in the day. That morning I woke up with the biggest smile on my face that no one could wipe off simply because this was the end and ahead of me lied months of relaxation and freedom. I put on my uniform and had some breakfast and then made my way to school. Once I got their I started to get nervous for my first exam just memorizing the study guide frantically ( it was religion exam) I know that’s one of the easiest exams but you know you need to re memorize just to be on the safe side. An hour and a half later the 5th exam was done I just had one exam left that would start in about 30 mins. So I got out of the religion class and started heading up to my pre algebra class to meet with one of my friends and revise for the exam. Now this exam I felt more at ease because it really depends on you skills to be able to understand the problems and if you practiced then you were fine. Luckily, I was fine because I practiced the night before and my teacher was so kind to provide us a sheet with the formulas to complete the problems with. That sheet was a life saver it helps you much more because if you use the formula in the right way than you can solve the problem correctly. An hour and a half later, the moment was finally here everyone was shouting and screaming welcoming in the summer and of course throwing there review papers in the air. Once I left the class I began walking towards my car and I was in such a rush to leave school. Before I arrived at home I made a quick pit stop at the Starbucks next to my house and treated my self to a well deserved Frappucino ( it was super delicious and tasted like summer and freedom).:P Got home at 12pm and headed straight up to my room to watch some movies eat popcorn and take a nice ,long ,well needed nap. This is it I am finally done Middle School my family and I cannot believe it seemed like just yesterday I was starting middle school. Back then I had 7 years left till I was able to graduate my current school for good, but now I have 4 years left. 4 years can you believe it I can’t but hopefully the future will bring great things for me in high school and college, etc. I do have to say that with me finishing 8th grade was by far my favorite and most fun year I would like to thank all my friends and teachers for making it such a memorable and fun year.

Goodbye Middle School & Hello High School

On Wednesday May 25 my school decided to host a promotion ceremony which is a graduation that is for the end of middle school. Of course, everyone was excited to attend and be done with middle school. But Sadly after the ceremony we still have final exams to complete so we aren’t done with middle school just yet. Any who back to where we were so the day of the ceremony I decided to not go to school and go to the salon to get my hair and nails done. Now I know what you are all thinking Lujain why didn’t you go to school you should have went but I didn’t miss anything important so it was totally fine. The same morning of my ceremony I headed to Marshmallows Nail Spa (the best of all nail spas that I have been to) at around 11am. I had my nails and toe nails painted a lovely nude-ish color, for those of you wondering it was “Topless and Barefoot” by Essie ( only one of the best color’s it’s amazing how elegant and classy it looks). The hair style that I chose was nice lovely big waves that added a bit of volume to my hair. After spending about 3 hours at the salon ( I know it took that long but I mean the results were amazing those waves were my favorite) I headed back home and had some lunch and then started to get ready for the event. The ceremony didn’t start until 6:00pm but I had to be there by 5:30pm, so I started getting ready at 2:30pm. I took a nice 15 minute shower and got ready, by 3pm I had already had my dress on ( it was a beautiful long-sleeved pink and nude-ish laced color dress). Then I put on some makeup and headed out the door to go and pickup one of my friends so that we could go together.Image_2

My friend and I got to school at 5:30 and we met up with all the other students in the library. The ceremony started at 6pm it all started to feel real once we were walking through the door. I couldn’t believe that come this fall I will become a high schooler.  The ceremony was nice and enjoyable there were speeches given by some students and faculty. My family was there and were so proud that I graduated middle school and that I also had received a presidential silver award signed by Barack Obama himself. I couldn’t even believe it that I had gotten the award. Once the ceremony was over I went home with my family had some dinner then went to bed. Of course it didn’t help that it was a school night and I had to attend school the next day. Woke up the next morning feeling super exhausted and guess what about half the students did not attend school. I felt like an idiot being there but I got to do exam review with my teachers (yay) 🙁  Can’t believe that I am almost done middle school I finish on June 5 and just have the last day of finals and then its over. Summer here we come after that high school (oh what a joy that will be ). Till then enjoy your summer everyone I will be back soon with new posts during the summer. 🙂

Book Review : ‘The Middle School Years’

Dear Blog – airy,

So Lately I have been reading a book called “The Middle School Years: Get Me Out of Here” by James Patterson.  In this book which I am currently reading there is this boy named Rafe, he is the  main character who is a 6th Grader. He just moved from a village where people loved him and he was so popular.  In the next minute Rafe was in the car driving to live in a new city with his Grandmother, Mother, and Sister. Rafe was later enrolled in a new school which he hated as soon as he entered because everyone was being mean to Rafe. They laughed, teased, and talked behind his back.

This reminds me of  last year when I was in Grade 5 how two girls used to bully me and tease me, laugh at me, and talk behind my back. Then my friends back stabbed me and joined the bullying. But in the end  my real friends and I back stabbed the bullies and they were feeling the pain of the mighty Lujain Talks and not to mess with her.

Three things I learned from my past are not to talk back to bullies,  be strong, and face the bullies.I enjoyed reading this book and will be continuing as I head to bed.Hope you Blog- airy have a nice holiday and a GOOD NIGHT !!!!!!!!

School Update : Science

Have you ever wondered what  pre teens like me learn in school ? Well it’s your lucky day because I will tell you  about what I learned in science. I learned about water evaporation.

Did you know that if you 40 ml in 2 cups that they would be balanced? If you somehow happen to put a lid on one of these cups they will not be equal at all. This is because the cup with no lid’s  water  evaporated into the atmosphere. Evaporation is when water changes state from liquid to gas so it looks like it disappeared but it’s still in the atmosphere.

Here are the steps of how water evaporates. First, the energy from the sun heats up the water. Second, the heat causes the water in the ocean to  evaporate from a liquid to a vapor into the clouds.  Third, the water condenses into the clouds. After that it precipitates which means it turns back into liquid state and that is when it starts to rain. Finally the  water goes back into the ground.

Learning about evaporation at school helped me to understand how it rains. I am surprised that you don’t need a lot of wind to make rain because I used to think that you needed to have wind for it to rain. But sometimes when it does storm there is a lot of wind.

I hope you guys learned something new with me today.
